Quickie: How to Fix A Toilet's Flusher When the Chain Breaks Loose...
Hope this doesn't happen at your girlfriend's house after you take a big dump!

Alright, this is plain and simple enough. It's kinda obvious really... But, I just had to share it! Sorry for the nasty state of the toilet's water resevoir (never really had to look in it before...).
As you can see here, the chain that once connected the flusher's metal rod to the black rubber valve at the bottom, somehow broke off (don't ask me what kind of insanity must have been inundating the person's mind who did this...) and is, now, of course, useless untill we get a new chain.
But, never fear when there is a ghetto-rigger in the house! You see, most people would have gone to Home Depot by now and bought the cheap replacement part. But, that would require way too much effort when this lovely contraption seems to work just as expected. Granted, it's not as elegant as the real flusher, but, it works and that's all that matters (until my girlfriend comes to town...).
Oh, and the brown stuff in the resevoire is just rust... come on people get your minds out of the gutters... only fresh water goes in these bad boys...
Well, that solved the problem! Now we just need to solve the toilet paper issue... Any suggestions?
Suggestion:
Check under the bathroom sink in the cabinet... There's some in there.
